Bolinas Ridge on the western edge on Mt. Tamalais is one of the unique spots of the world. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, it commands a view that can be compared to the best. In this painting, I wanted to concentrate on the vast amount ridgelines going north up the ridge, as they seem to be a never-ending collection of ridges and rolling hills that begin to fade into the distant as the summer sun baths them in a warm glow. The Shadows help define the hills as the sunlight illuminates the top of the ridges making the golden grass come alive.
