Lake Wit-sa-nap
The print Lake Wit-sa-nap, known now as Convict Lake, is located in the Eastern Sierra Mountains. It's a beautiful lake located in the Sherwin Range of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Carved out by glaciers, erosion has revealed the underlying granite that uplifted the range. The joy in painting this was the way the early morning light struck and lit up the incredible granite formations on the cliff faces and the dark blue tones of the calm deep lake.
