Summer Fog
From the original painting, “Summer Fog” is a print of a foggy summer scene on Mt. Burdell in Marin County at a time when the grasses of the mountain were dry and golden. The fog rolls in from the west and as it forges over the hills it is pushed up by the air currents causing some of it to burn off before it can completely cover the mountain. The sun finds a place to come through and shines its warm light on the upper elevations causing the top of the mountain to be illuminated with a summer luster.
