The image "Summer Glow" is located on Mt. Burdell in Marin County, California. With this painting, I wanted to have the late afternoon lighting from the late summer which comes glaring through the hills at this time of year and creates a spectacular glow that can be seen in the air between the far hills. At the same time, the golden grasses have their own glow to them, helping to enhance the this wonderful effect.
